Twenty Angry Dogs (2010-2017)

Twenty Angry Dogs is a video and sound installation in which 12 performers bark like angry dogs. The selection comprises a diverse group of people in terms of age, race, gender, or profession. 12 screens are arranged in a circle, each playing an individual video. Viewers are encouraged to walk into the center of the circle to watch the looped videos. The site-specific piece has been installed using different set-ups and equipment. The installation reflects the intricate relationship between human and animal species and the raw power that we all carry in us.

"Twenty Angry Dogs" was shown at the Bong San Art Center in South Korea, in 2010; at the Kuenstlerhaus Thurn & Taxis in Bregenz, Austria, 2011; at the Made in NY Mediacenter in Dumbo, Brooklyn, 2017; and as recently as an expanded version at Akbank Sanat, Istanbul, Turkey, in Fall 2017. A single channel version of "Twenty Angry Dogs: Group Barking" has been shown in exhibitions across the globe and is currently on display as part of a solo show at Baruch College, New York.
