Survey (2016-2018)

"Survey" is a political statement that examines the emotional undercurrent that leads people to fall for demagoguery. It highlights the critical importance of, what Maxine Greene called, "social imagination" by challenging participants and viewers to reflect on their perceived future and attitude toward the world around them. "Survey" was initially conceived as a silkscreen print in poster size. The work then developed into a mail art project inviting 100 participants to respond to the questionnaire. The project was shown at the Westchester Community College Digital Arts Center, at the Schweinfurth Art Center, and at the Elizabeth Foundation.

The project was further developed for the Kiesler Foundation in Vienna, for the Back to Athens Festival in Greece, as well as for Gallery Bundo in South Korea. An exhibition presenting the outcomes of the multiple manifestations of the project was shown as part of "Survey" at Macy Gallery, New York, in 2018.
