Crossword Project (2014-2017): INTERACTIVE VIDEO INSTALLATION WITH 27 MONITORS

"Crossword Project" is a dynamically rendered, interactive crossword animation projecting crowd- sourced questions that change every few seconds. Viewers may submit questions through a web- form (crosswordproject.tumblr.com) or Twitter feed (#crosswordproject). Questions are fed to a database and channeled to the video screen in real-time allowing viewers to see their questions manifest before them. This work explores participatory work as a means of public discourse.

The project was developed as a video animation built in Cinema 4D and was projected over several floors in a museum (German Film Museum, Frankfurt, 2015). It was also shown as a wall painting (Austrian Cultural Forum New York, 2015) as well as large scale digital prints (Fine Art Galerie, Traismauer, 2016).

A programmed, interactive version was shown at the Westchester Community College, Digital Art Center, as part of the New York Electronic Art Festival at the Made in NY Mediacenter in Dumbo, as well as the Fata Morgana Gallery, Berlin, in 2017.
