A series of 7 paper drawings are gathered around the title Empty Nests. The drawings outline various shapes of cuboids, cylinders, and other vessels surrounded by marked brinks to cut and glue them together as we know them from DIY-manuals. On the ground of the ficticious shapes we find colored depictions of empty eggshells, plain hay or mere soil functioning as sympols for an obviously abandoned substance and turning the imaginary, architectural boxes into voids. The two-dimensional drawings work with a three-dimensional ficticious space combining two sorts of arts: sculpture and painting. Mixed media: fotography, drawing, c-print. Size: A4. |
